Motherboard is a community of significant figures across art forms who are radically rethinking opera. On April 3rd 2022, they will take over the The National Gallery of Denmark with a total experience that will close CPH:DOX 2022. Motherboard consists of artists who represent different parts of opera's core disciplines: composer Signe Lykke, soprano and performer Katinka Fogh Vindelev, choreographer Tim Matiakis, filmmakers Cille Hannibal and Frigge Fri, and set designer Karin Gille.

Together, they share an ambition to make opera relatable. Opera that takes chances. Art created through dialogue in rebellion against the hierarchies that opera is otherwise traditionally bound by.

At CPH:DOX 2022, they present their first work, which blurs the boundaries between the documentary, the personal, and the sensual. A work created in collaboration for a new audience.
